Lumpia

With a British dad and Filipino mum – and spending a few years in Germany, too – we go big on cabbage sides and sausages alongside traditional British fare and Mum’s Filipino food magic. Lumpia is an even more delicious version of a spring roll and staple of all Filipino celebrations. It’s also a great ‘everyone pitch in’ offering – someone can shred and chop the veg, another can roll them up and someone else can do the frying. For me, it’s an unmissable family affair.
